Movie Night Outside

Join us for a movie under the stars. We will watch Into the Spiderverse. Bring a lawn chair and/ or blanket.

We will provide something from the grill and dessert. Bring a side dish if you like!

For folks who regularly attend Every Table House Parties: note that this is a later start time than usual!\

General schedule for the evening:

  • 7-8pm: gather, eat

  • 8pm: movie start

  • 10pm: event end

Contact us for address information, or sign up here to join our House Party mailing list.

A few details on our House Parties:

  • Every Table’s House Parties are informal gatherings for community. The consistent factor from gathering to gathering is community and food. Gatherings often include a brief program offering built around stuff people are interested in.

  • We will have light food and community. There is sometimes a fire, if people are interested and weather permits

  • You can bring labeled food if you’d like, but there is no expectation that you do so

  • Masks are expected in indoor spaces. Weather permitting, there is typically access to outdoor space as well.

  • Yes, these gatherings are kid friendly

We will provide a main dish of some sort. Bring a side if you’d like, but no pressure, either way!

September House Party

Come Back Home: A Meditation Event for People Who Think They Can't

"I can't clear my mind." "I get stuck on the same thoughts." "Sitting still makes me anxious." "I don't have time. I keep falling off." "I've tried. I'm just not the meditating type."

Each of these is telling you something true. And each one calls for a different doorway in.

This isn't a class about sitting still and trying harder. It's a toolkit drawn from yoga therapy, matched to the way your mind actually moves. Breath, body, chant, rest, loving-kindness. We'll meet your "I can't" with a practice that fits, so you leave with tools that work for your mind, not someone else's.

No experience needed. Bring your excuses. We'll build your practice from there.

24 Hour Meditation - Fall Equinox

We are excited to offer another 24 hour meditation as we move into the fall with a collective prayer for peace.

The Maharishi Effect suggests that when a small percentage of a population practices meditation, it can create measurable ripple effects in the wider community, like reduced stress and conflict.

A small group, consistent in practice, can change the room. And a room can change a neighborhood.

What changes – in our homes, in our communities, in our city –when we practice peace like it’s real?

Every Table is offering a 24-hour meditation this weekend for peace in the City of Richmond and surrounding counties.

This is a 24-hour container. Come for an hour, come for a few hours, or come for as long as your body and life allow. You do not have to do the whole 24 to be part of the ritual.

What to bring

  • A cushion, chair, or bench option (multiple seating options are ideal)

  • A blanket, layers, and anything that helps you regulate (hat, socks, shawl)

  • Water, snacks, and any medication you need

  • A journal if you want to track what comes up

  • An eye mask if you plan to rest

  • A phone on silent (or off), because this is a distraction-free space on purpose

Gratitude to our gracious hosts at Richmond Hill!

Let’s be real, the seasons have been shaped by so much grief-too often resulting in isolation, misunderstanding and conflict. Meet us at the river to tend to your grief and release it to the waters that can hold.

Ruby Joy will lead us in ceremony as we join together with the land to grieve all that needs to be grieved.

Meet us in the parking lot at Pony Pasture
